Agents - Sentinels - AgenTech
Nameless RPG

Agents have access to Matrix software far more advanced than anything the Resistance can produce. The machines also monitor the Matrix for non-standard objects like Real World weapons and technology. Therefore, the Resistance is sometimes forced to raid Agent-controlled locations for useful "AgenTech" items.

Bugs

These tracing programs insert themselves into a human's digital self. From there, they track the "bugged" human's location and broadcast it back to the machines. Bugs have a limited intelligence and are programmed to evade detection. They can "move" themselves around inside the body of a host to 1) escape detection or 2) complicate any attempts to remove them.

Exterminators

The Resistance uses these cumbersome devices are used to locate and extract Bugs from a human's digital body. They are constructed from "junk" parts that could be found in the Matrix. (The AIs have searches in place to catch Real World technology.) When placed against the subject's torso, a scanner and viewscreen provide the user with a view of their chest cavity. The second half of the device hacks into the subject's "body" and removes the bug without leaving any scars. The bug is pulled into a container at the back of the device, were it usually deactivates itself.

Drones

Drones are 3-4 foot tall automatons designed to guard sensitive installations against Free Minds. They have powerful, agile legs connected to a blockish central computer and power source. Arms extend from either side of the computer block and terminate in high-caliber machine guns. The upper arms contain thousands of rounds of ammunition. Their sensor systems include infrared cameras, motions sensors, and laser targeting scopes.

(Drones should have Major (3) ratings in combat skills and perception. They are pretty much impervious to small caliber firearms.)
