the Riverview Theatre, 3800 42nd Ave S (8 block east of Minnehaha

At the River I Stand is an important telling of the story of a
local labor dispute in Memphis, 1968, that grew into a collision of
events that culminated with the tragic loss of the life of Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr. and changed history. The documentary brings into sharp
relief issues that are just as relevant today: the framework of the
connection between economic and civil rights, the debate over violent
vs. nonviolent change, and the demand for full inclusion of African
Americans in American life.
