Passed One in 10 Minnesota children live in poverty, the State cut Head Start funding last year by 23% and 82% of eligible children are not receiving Head Start services; therefore be it resolved that the State of Minnesota restore all Head Start funding; and be it further resolved that the State of Minnesota fully fund Head Start services to serve all eligible infants, toddlers and preschoolers in the state.

Campaign; and be it further resolved that we encourage the Minneapolis City Council to pass a strong, enforceable ordinance to require that businesses that are awarded contracts or subsidies by the City be required to pay a Living Wage; and be it further resolved that we define a Living Wage as 130% of the Federal Poverty limit for a family of four, which is the level that a family would be eligible for food stamps; and be it further resolved that we work with the coalition of community, faith, and labor groups to pass this ordinance; and be it further resolved that the Minneapolis DFL encourages all DFL elected officials in the City of Minneapolis to support a strong, enforceable ordinance to promote living wages.

Be it further resolved that the DFL supports the city finding additional sources of neighborhood revitalization funds in future years and that such funds be apportioned to the neighborhoods to fund revitalization and redevelopment efforts.
