Here is another attempt at lifting the veil of the ivory trade. These carcasses have had their faces hacked off to extract their tusks. The rest of the body is left to rot.

Usually the first ones on the scene after the poachers have left are the vultures. In the process of waiting their turn to feed, the vultures perched on the body will leave their droppings streaking down the carcass. I've just rearranged the streaks into the design of the UPC bar code. The numbers used are always going towards zero to indicate a countdown to extinction.
