Terminal Server Scripting Problems with Windows95
If you are having problems logging in from time to time (most notably
during the evening hours) you may wish to follow these instructions to
make a small modification to your PPP script under Windows95. This
modification allows your system to properly connect to all of the
terminal servers at Sound Internet.
- Click on the Start button, select Programs, Accessories,
then Dialup Scripting Tool.
- In the left hand window select the Sound Internet Connection, in the
right hand side click edit scripts.
- Locate the two lines that say transmit "^M" Place semicolons at
the start of the two lines to "comment them out".
- Save the changes, and your all set.
Here's an example:
Transmit "^M"
Transmit "^M"
To read
; Transmit "^M"
; Transmit "^M"
These changes will allow a reliable connection on both types of terminal
servers used at Sound Internet.
