Configuring Opera for Email and News at SCC.Net

These following images will guide you through setting up Opera for sending and receiving email and news groups through Sound Internet.
  • Open the Opera icon from your Desktop. The following images will step you through setting up the program for email and news.

  • From the E-mail menu, select New Account.

    On the Account tab, fill in your Account Name, Full Name, Email Address and Reply-To.

    On the Servers tab, fill in Incoming Mail Server as pop3.scc.net, your username and password, and your Outgoing Mail Server as smtp.scc.net.

    Click OK to save these settings and you're ready to check your mail by Selecting the Email menu, and then Check from it, or by clicking on the "Check" icon.

    To configure your News, click on File menu, and select Preferences.

    Click on the News icon, and fill out news.scc.net for your News Server.
