How to configure your Cisco 675 for Linux

To configure the router, connect the maintenance cable to the serial port. First you must su to root, or in some other way be able to access the appropriate serial port (usually /dev/ttyS0 or /dev/ttyS1). Then use the command

screen /dev/ttySx

to start screen. It will connect and you will be able to make all the changes just as you would from HyperTerm or ZTerm. One quits screen simply by typing control-a, then \. Control-a ? is used to get help. Continue on the normal cisco config here
