Establishing a Connection
The first step in connecting your Linux box to Sound Internet involves establishing a connection. There are three ways to do this.
- Connecting to Sound Internet via Dialup SLIP - This is configuration information for establishing a connection with Sound Internet using DIP.
- Connecting to Sound Internet via Dialup PPP - This is configuration information for establishing a connection with Sound Internet using PPP.
- Connecting to Sound Internet via Local Area Network - This is configuration information for establishing a connection with Sound Internet via a Local Area Network (LAN)*.
- Configuring Linux Parameters for Sound
Internet - This is information on local access numbers, how to
configure DNS settings, POP Mail settings and NNTP settings for your Linux
box.
*This requires your LAN administrator to have a connection to Sound Internet already routed to your LAN.
Troubleshooting/Fixing Problems
These pages will assist you in finding solutions to problems you may experience with your service.
