Here are some troubleshooting hints to
get your computer online fast.
- You hear static on your phoneline. Make sure that you
have all of your microfilters installed correctly on your
phonelines. Check to make sure that any lines attached to a
security system, apartment security buzzer or water meter have
microfilters installed on them, or call 800/247-7285 for further
assistance.
- The POWER light does not appear on your Cisco 67X.
Verify that the outlet receives power by checking another device
in. Verify that all connections to the PWR port is tight.
- The WAN LINK light is a blinking green on your Cisco
67X. Try unplugging the DSL Router completely, and see if
the light is steady after 60 seconds. Verify that all filters have
been installed on all phonelines. For further assistance, call
Qwest Repair at 888/234-XDSL.
- The WAN LINK light is completely off on the Cisco 67X.
Verify that the Router has been configured into the correct mode
(Bridged or Routed).
- The LAN LINK light is not a steady green on your Cisco 67X.
Verify that your network card or hub is installed correctly.
- You are unable to establish a connection. Verify that
all of your TCP/IP information has been entered correctly.
- Customer cannot ping their own IP Address Verify that the
IP Address has been set in the TCP/IP settings. Verify that the
network card is installed correctly.
- Customer cannot ping their own gateway address Call
Qwest for further assistance 888/234-XDSL.
- Customer cannot ping 209.32.140.11 Verify that Gateway
Address is set correctly on the TCP/IP settings.
- Customer cannot ping scc.net Verify that the DNS
address (199.199.195.5) is set correctly on the TCP/IP settings.
- DSL is not connecting with the Intel 2100 Modem Verify
that all settings are correct under TCP/IP. The CD sometimes does
not configure all information under the DNS tab.
- DSL is not connecting for Select Plan users Be sure
to click the "Connect" button in the Commander software.
- Intel 2100 stops receiving information, but does not
appear disconnected You may need to download this software
from Qwest.
